About My Service



A Purrfect Way Pet Sitting Service is the oldest professional pet sitting service in Southern Calvert County, Maryland! I opened in February of 2000 and have visited hundreds of pets to date and have many personal references. I am insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC. and certified in Pet First Aid & CPR.

This service is NOT a kennel I do not offer boarding. I travel to YOUR home up to twice daily so your pets can remain secure and relaxed in their regular routines and familiar environment.

I adore cats and they are the reason I started this business. I will also sit for fish, birds, rabbits, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs and other small pets. Sorry, I do NOT sit for dogs.

Service area includes Solomons Island to Port Republic in Calvert County, Maryland. I will consider traveling outside of that area for an extra cost if schedule permits so please give me a call to discuss!

Price for a 30 minute visit starts at $24 and I do not charge per pet or charge extra for giving medications.

I will do whatever I can to take the best care of your pets and your home while you travel! You can have peace of mind that your beloved pets are relaxed and secure in their familiar environment and regular routines. Services offered:



  • Provide fresh water, food and medications if needed
  • Scoop litter/refresh bedding for small caged pets
  • Provide exercise, play time, cuddling, brushing--whatever interaction your pet wants. I understand shy kitties who hide under the bed and don't want much interaction--I have 3 of my own who hide from my pet sitter when she visits!
  • Bring in the mail, newspaper & packages
  • Water indoor & outdoor plants
  • Feed outdoor critters such as deer, birds and squirrels
  • Alternate lights, blinds & curtains
  • Provide a 30 or 45 minute visit up to twice daily..your choice!
  • Provide a daily note, text, video or pictures of your pets. I love to take pictures and videos of your pets and post to social media with your permission!
  • Provide proof of insurance and many personal references

I can quickly get booked up to several weeks in advance. Please allow time to set up a consult & reserve your dates early!


Once the assignment begins I do NOT offer refunds for early returns. This time is set aside specifically for your pets & if you return early I may not have time to fill the slots you no longer need.


If your plans are cancelled after you have reserved sits with me, I require 7 days notice during the year & 14 days notice at Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years. If required notice is not given, the total fee for the entire assignment is due.
